After a short while of silence we are back with some new previews for upcoming layout changes. So please take a look at our progress. It would giveΒ us great pleasure if you will leave some comments π
I like the first picture the most !
the second is the worst for me π

I like this one much more than the other 2 examples π The vertical bar is nearly perfect. I’m still just missing some “text” to know what button is for which feature. For our new players it would be a little bit too confusing if there is no description beside the buttons.
Just add some texts like you’ve done at the tab-bar and it’s perfect.
I also really like the new tasklist. The radar-like minimap is much better than the one now. But nevertheless it would be gread if you could add a funktion to the minimap, that you can zoom out (the small radar on the top is way too small!)
The “new”-Banner and the new frames for items are great as well!
But there’s just one question: Will we be able to maximize or resize the chat? It’s good that there seem to by several “channel-overviews” now like in the irc, but the chat is a little bit to small ^^
Nice process, guys! It also would be great, if every player can set his own interface just like a “desktop”. In the 3rd picture you have shown all elements of the interface, therefore I’d prefer that every player can decide on his own wheather he has got a vertical or horizontal menubar or if he wants the minimap in the left down corner or upper right corner. I hope you know, what I mean π
That’s it from me, hopefully i could help you a little bit with my opinion about this design-preview.
When do u think u’ll put it on the beta to us to test it? π

clothes and metal window are cool, frames are a bit weird
and maybe should be more simmetric positioned

I liked the second picture, with the side menu ..
you can put the bar always hidden? appears only when asked … so let the game screen clean …
does the same bar on the left for work …
some screen passes the profession ..

I like Micky’s idea,
the 2nd is nice to.

just a little question about the task list you did 2 minuits of the 2 hours then you did not do 1/4 of the job ….

This looks awsome, dunno if showing the menu horizontal or vertical is an option we’ll choose, but both look good.
Can’t wait it gets implemented.

The Buttons will get an overlay feature so there will be a text description for each button. We also discussed to make the button bar movable so players can adjust their interface in the way they want to. And of course the chat window will be scalable.
Nevertheless this is still a work in progress and some of these features involve heavy technical problems. But we are doing our best to solve them in the best and most convenient way possible.

erm.
i have spoken to a few people about this, and we still have to discuss it all.
but so far we dont like it in general.
we understand that these are the new parts for the new game.
first
but is that a scrollbar ? the menu bar has a few dashes on the side or above so that you could maybe slide it over with more options?
second
that map logo is a bit grand theft if you ask me, its all cool, but it really needs some work.
it reduces the amount of buttons one would have to click to see where you are, but its the whole aspect from other games or ideas..its nice, but needs work.
third
is actually good, the new job timer bar or circle, its great, actually great, like it loads.
last, most important.
the textures are nice in areas, but there is way too much metal,..save the metal for cannon balls,, way way to much grey in there.
and too much the same tone,,shade and blush a bit.(you own more crayons then that)
in truth, all your doing is shifting boxes from one side to the other side to see how it would best look, and thats great.
but you know what they say, leave it for a while, work on something else and then come back.(dont let us tell you, its your game, see for your self)
3/10 for a rough still to be edited.
needs lots work if to be completed.

Can’t say I’m a fan of the menu bar being docked along the right side – I’d much prefer it along the left, bottom or (non-transparent) top. Also kinda missing the *thin* aesthetic bar you had running along the top in the last previews…

@Diggo11
cant remember where i read it, heard that the user is ab;e to set up/configure/adjust how they want or like it,
so you could place all those icons, menis and other any way you want.
so its not about the actual set up, but rather how they icons look.

In my opinion the first image is the best.

Much better than the last preview. Still modern, but the wood grain is much more Western.
Looks great, cant wait for it to be implemented.
Will you also try to implement the town idea you had some time ago Rainy?
The one with the moveable buildings? And the deterioration of those buildings?
I like the first picture the most !
