Infinity and beyond! (well, on the way to it)

… if you have wondered, what will happen when you’ve reached the max level again…

(oh man, I hope that doesn’t break something else in return…)

zet, that’s char from beta, right? It’s obvious it’s not real because on normal wolds such soldiers will have 12.000HP and pwn forts. :p

@JoxterTM: Of course it’s not a real char – it’s one of my developer machine testing characters! But I CAN assure you: That guy has fought tons of fort battles and his experience is LEGEND! He fought fort battles in July 2009 and even before that – but records of earlier fights do not even exist because there was no cemetery implemented yet! So please: A bit more respect for my underling test chars!

So a year from now we will be back in the same boat, people will be asking for level 150 – 200 – 300 where does it stop? why the need for a limit?

Granted WestWars, isnt the same, but it doesnt have a known level limit yet.

zet, respect, but is it possible to add a ranking of fortfighing players out of the fort cemetaries just like duelers have from the mortuary?

@JoxerTM: We have no certain planned features for 1.31, but reworking the ranking tables and including fort fights and extending statistics for each most important category (xp, duels, fort fights) each for alliances, towns and individuals is in my opinion an overdue improvement to the gameplay. We do collect already statistics on fort battle statistics for each player, but we do not yet use it. So when we’ll introduce such a feature, you don’t have to worry about your current and past progress (these stats do not date back to the start of the battles, but it’s in the game for quite some time now).

zet, that means that exp will never end?It wouldnt be 0/0?

That means that you can continue collecting XP even if you have reached the maximum level. It doesn’t affect the position in the hall of fame, but it does affect the ranking in the XP table.

What will happen then if the level cap is removed again later?Players will continue with the experience they gained till that point? It is a bit unfair for all the players who are now stuck at level 99 for over a year and they start the race for 120 at the same position as the players who just reached 99.

    zet December 6, 2010

@Athos: Contrary to the public opinion, we have no plans for raising the level limit again. You can gain XP when reaching the level cap and thus still fighting for the #1 rank position.

    lvl 120 pnly needs 5652 exp? πŸ˜€

    zet December 6, 2010

@arnasba: No, left side is what you have, right side is what you need to make progress – the laying 8 is the math symbol for “infinite”. So it could take quite a while to get beyond 120…

admins, what do you think about secure trade thing? for example, i have an item for sale ( eg wyatt earp’s buntline, again, it is just a suggestion ) and i found someone to trade it for jesse james schofield. now, of course, we wont be paying 100000$+ each, i was thinking of sending a secure trade for 6000 each, because if we put them on market it is a slight chance that the weapon wont go to the recipient, and we will loose big time.
