Just a quick note

On the last bugfix I wrote that the shooting attempt in the battle uses only aiming and leadership. This is wrong – it also uses endurance or hiding, depending on what side you play on. This is a bug that got introduced during reworks on the battlesystem in 1.29 and that is going to be fixed soon. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes the dodging thing is something that players have figured out that the game is reporting inaccurately… and I hope I have this right.

    Currently the game is reporting:
Number that hit * 2 + Number of actually dodged (misses from other side as counted as they occurred/reported on screen)

I just wanted to clear things out and sum up some of the information published on this blog. At the moment in version 1.28 there were the following ‘bugs’ identified:

    1. The worker bonus factor is 40% and it is applicable to both sector bonus and tower character bonus

As I understood in version 1.29 the bonus factor will be reduced to 30% and will be applicable only to sector bonus.

    2. In english version of the ‘help’ in fort battles section – skill bonuses – you write (quote) ‘Skill bonuses are determined by the number of skill points to the power of 0.4 (and rounded to the nearest whole number) [i.e. n^0.4].’ (end of quote). Whereas in the example published on this blog on 19th of August you do not round the skill bonuses – moreover you present a picture suggesting that the rounding is not applicable – at least until the end of battle bonuses addition.

Please clarify what is the methodology of skill bonuses calculation.

    3. In the short publication on 27th of August you write (quote) ‘On the last bugfix I wrote that the shooting attempt in the battle uses only aiming and leadership. This is wrong – it also uses endurance or hiding, depending on what side you play on. (end of qoute)

Please clarify – the fort defenders will use hiding bonus when shooting and fort attackers will use endurance bonus when dodging? as I understad defenders already use hiding bonus when doging and attackers use endurance bonus when shooting.

    4. In the short publication on 19th of August you wrote (qoute) If an attacker shoots, a bonus of 25 is added to his attempt, whereas the defender gets a bonus of 10. (end of quote)

Please clarify what version of my understanding is correct:
    a) if an attacker shoots he gets 25 bonus and if a defender shoots he gets 10 bonus? – no bonuses when dodging are added
    b) if an attacker shoots he gets 25 bonus and if a defender dodges he gets 10 bonus? – if yes, is it symmetrical that is if a defender shoots he gets 25 bonus and when a attacker doges he gets 10 bonus?

    @Nicnack:
1: Not a bug. It was introduced that way.

2: There’s no rounding taking place, this is a wrong interpretation. The help is maintained by community managers and supported, it can thus have inaccuracies when it comes to formulas that are nowhere presented in the game. It should be changed though.

3: If a defender shoots, the hiding skill is taken into account. The same goes for attackers that shoot. This clarification I made was correcting my mistake in the previous blog post, where I did not include these skills on shooting attempts of any sides.

4: If someone shoots, the person (independently of being an attacker or defender) gets always a bonus of +25 on the shot, next to the bonus that is given for his skill and his sector. If someone dodges, independently of his role in the battle (attacker / defender), he’ll get a bonus of 10 when dodging, additionally to his skill and sector bonus. The purpose is to even the chances as the dodging bonus raises quickly by the distance of the target.

@Good Feather: The number of dodges bug was a bit more complicated than that. In effect, it’s completely wrong right now and will be fixed in 1.29

Is it true that stamina is used for both attacking and defending as a aimung skill,
and hiding is used for dodging?
